This
is one of my goto albums to keep the tempo of my design process on its
toes. Coheed and Cambria is considered a
“concept band” with all of their albums linking a timeline together to form a
story which can also be viewed in comic book form in companionship with the
albums. A unique idea, yes… but what
really grabs me about this album is the musical stylings of frontman Claudio
Sanchez, who combines vocal techniques
similar to Rush and The Melvins with post-hardcore guitar riffs to create one
of the most listenable albums in my collection.
