Much like The Jesus and Mary Chain, The
Raveonettes prove static, feeback and reverb can be instruments all their own. Hailing
from Denmark, the duo’s style echoes the rock and roll riffs of the 50’s and
the dissonant effects of noise pop. In other words, this is what it would sound
like if My Bloody Valentine recorded the soundtrack of David Lynch’s Twin
Peaks. And that, my friends, is a match made in pop heaven.
